Where Are The Christians?

This article is in 1993.At was my hometown, wrote that we have recently seen the video series called "Children at Risk" by Dr. James Dobson and Gary L. Bauer. This is a companion book of the same title, which is availableat local Christian bookstores. The subtitle is "The battle for those hearts and minds of our children." I recommend this series bookand videos who has the same concerns as me ournation.

When I heard there and to Dr. Dobson and Mr. imagine. Bauer spoke of the excesses that were so prevalent in today ournation asking: "Where are the Christians?" When I grew up in Ohio in the '50s, I remember goingto school in first grade and listening to my teacher read each morning aBible history. I know that my first, second, third and fourth grade teacher to read Bible stories every morning.

We also recited the Lord's Prayer as part of our openingexercises. I remember that programs Thanksgiving, Christmas Program, Easter and all programs, Christian themes. Irecall as a schoolboy in the early 60's my English teacher read the Bible as part of the class. I was in 1969 ateacher me, and I also had students theLord recite the prayer at the opening exercises. The court ruled that the United StatesSupreme prayer in the classroom were aviolation the separation of church and state.

And since then, things are bad. Today, in 1993, isevident that humans are determined to eliminate allevidence Christian values and practices, both public education and government. Each time a new attack thechurches by humanists, I wonder, "Where are the Christians?" I remember as a boy I never heard profanity was ontelevision. Nudity on television was simply scandalous. Thetelevision wholesome.

Programs programs in the '50s and early '60s as "Leave It to Beaver," "Ozzie and Harriet" and "Mr.Ed" were the norm. Now you can not activate televisionwithout be exposed to desecration of the commonplace andnudity worst kind. extra-martial affairs are funded on the "soap everyday life." The violence of any kind issued night after night, on almost all channels.

The evening talk show onevery who are exploiting the most bizarre themes, all Nameof public education. Again, as I searched my room andflip family together through the channels with my remote control, decent findsomething I ask, "Where are the Christians?" When I was a teenager, and knew what it meant that gay wassomething despised as a perverse way of life. I'd like people to canrecall movie star, who speaks werereported as homosexual, and how terrible it was that one was set up to personthat by many who live like him.

I know it was notpersonally homosexual. Now it seems thathomosexuality is not only accepted openly with the "establishment", it seems as if there daily.Program will be promoted after the beginning of the program on television to tell us, the behavior thathomosexual is an alternative way of life. ThePresident United States is the promotion of 'homosexual behaviorby attempt to open the military accepthomosexuals.

"Gay Rights" mediaand groups are treated by many in government as "good guys" while Christianopponents are painted as the bad guys. Whenever theopportunity receive as an educator, I speak against homosexualbehavior, and I find that these comments will withcontempt more often. Once again, I wonder, "Where are theChristians?" Pornography is known to cause serious psychological problems Slater in life if it is available and used for children.

Yetthese books and movies are always extremely light bychildren too. Women are not alone in this perversematerial exploited, but also children. It 's really a sick mind thatwill bring innocent children and photographing them in this way, and a sick mind that you also get the pleasure of seeing thosephotographs. We need to ask: "Where are the Christians?" Sex education is taught in almost every school district in the United States.
